Dear Prof Paul,
Can we script a scientific documentary film on natural disasters and the role of science and technology and knowledge sciences in meeting the challenges imposed by unexpected natural disasters?
Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans could be the backdrop for the film.
I read on the Internet the effect Katrina has on Hollywood Film Production. Movie production has come to a halt and life generally has been severely affected. Louisiana Film Commission has predicted a heavy loss of commercial film production. Perhaps we can get them involved in shooting the science documentary. If this project succeeds we can move ahead with other ideas we have in mind.
I have been selected to deliver a talk at the Second International Conference on Knowledge Management at North Carolina (co-inciting with the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Information Science & Technology) in October 2005. I have chosen the title Education, Culture and Well-being: Instrument of Global Peace and Co-operation.
