On Founding the Taos Institute

My current seclusion in Taos affords me an opportunity to create ontology of various types over services ... and related data and process constructions.  Though there are still a few correspondences with my three daughters and their mother, I am pretty much alone with my work.  Perhaps this is what I have sought all my life, is the opportunity to finally bring the stratified theory into a final form.

I am concluding a two-year forum “the national debate”, as having defined the issues of “false claims” by the AI community, academic and professional computer science, and by reductionist science.   I feel that there is nothing more to be said that what is already said in those 375 communications.

I am struggling with RDF/OWL because almost everything that is done seems, to me, to make very little sense...  unless the full vision of URI definition of "everything" could be achieved ....

I remain open to the possibility that with the almost infinite amount of energy being expended in that direction, that something might "ignite"; a "web of meaning".  But in theory (the one that the second school ascribes to) the brittleness of expert systems is only a suggestion of the brittleness that the TBL (Tim Berners-Lee) notion must have.

In any case, I have gone through four or five RDF editors and finally found Altova's SemanticWorks RDF editor.  They made XMLSpy which was best in its class ....  I am going to try to have RDF over SAO IM by sometime tomorrow.

My hope is that there is at least one other person who wants to try to start with WSML and see if WSMO is sufficient to cover SOA IM plus... (what the plus is I cannot quite say right now)....

It is true that many people see my arguments as beyond their understanding and perhaps beyond understanding; but the arguments that we are seeing from me, and my work, is (in the opinion of a few) grounded in real physics.

My current contract started only last month, and is supplementing my income from the art markets (www.virtualTaos.net).  In Taos we have a network of people and discussions (over the Internet) about a research institute called "The Taos Research Institute" that would gather real natural scientists and information scientists (or the natural kind) into a next step beyond the Santa Fe Institute.

I am looking for contracts to support this work, a conference on complex ontological modeling, and to support the development of the e-commerce system called (or to be called) www.virtualToas.net .
