As discussed at bead [141], BCNGroup’s offer in response to the War on Terror is to create an instrumentation of Arabic letters convolved into the classical Arabic stems.  There are around 4,000 of these stems in the standard Arabic dictionary. Each of these Arabic stems has three consonants. See Adi Structural Ontology Part I

An Orb data encoding and convolution allows two types of algorithms at two different levels in the three layer Adi structural ontology

Elements of aspect sets are the contents of frames at three layers of abstraction:

1. substructural frames (associated with vowels and consonants)

2. superconcept frames (associated with word stems)

3. interest frames, functionality frames and situation frames (associated with text in social discourse)

Orb convolutions are based on a direct measurement of the actual co-occurrence of the elements of the substructural ontology, ie, by conjecture having a structural homology to the 32 letters, and the co-occurrence of the Arabic stems that are produced using a variation of the Porter stemmer in English.  Nathan knows how to do this, as a simple modification of the existing Orb Suite software.

The existing SLIP browsers produce subject matter indicators as is shown in many examples, and can process the instrumented measurement producing visual icons showing co-occurrence patterns.

Tutorials on subject matter indicators are available.

Standard Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI), patent controlled by SAIC, it can be proved, provides a view of the same subject matter indicators as the SLIP analysis.  Differential ontology framework (DOF) and the ontology lens are both discussed in the presentations posted on the web by Prueitt 2003.  DOF provides a means to compare the SLIP subject matter indicators (which are a pattern of co-occurrence) with the “basins” of attraction in the standard LSI usage.

Based on detailed discussion within the core BCNGroup team, approximately three months of detailed linguistic work are required so that Adi and two assistants be allowed the time and support to hand code an instrumentation between the three levels of the Adi structured ontology and current chatter within the large embedding field of world wide Islamic social discourse.

It is clear to anyone that the government has spent at least 30 M in less important capabilities.  It least I can suggest the expenditures due to my first hand experiences while senior scientist at Object Sciences Inc.

The capability that the core BCNGroup team will demonstrate within a five days retreat, if funded, enables the instrumentation and mapping of the dynamic interface between terrorist chatter and communication and fields of social interests within the larger embedding field of world wide social discourse.

We will be able to see, for the first time, the paths of discourse used to recruit new members to those forms of radical Islam that have declared a holy war on the Western way of life.

All the core team needs is permission and a small amount of funding.
