I returned from the trip to Presidio and Terlingua Texas. The plan that I have developed for a virtual Taos e-commerce system was developed a bit more in discussions with seven of the Taos gallery owners. I spoke to each one individually, but suggested that that a group meeting might be developed using the process development methodology called AIC, developed by Professor Bill Smith at GWU [1] .
Taos gallery owners are concerned about the local government’s agnosticism towards tourism and the galleries. This agnosticism reflects the long struggle between the three cultures that reside and interact here in Taos. Perhaps the virtualTaos concept might be useful to the principle gallery owners of Taos.
What I have talked about is an e-commerce system based on the branding terms “virtualTaos”, and “Virtual Museum System”. The technical details are not as important as the community agreements that would be necessary for a true representation of Taos to be realized into a virtual private network (as discussed in the virtual museum system bead thread).
I left again to travel back to a private resort in Texas (near Terlingua), where we had several discussions about a proposal to discuss a Land and Cultural Institute.
Around a dozen individuals are involved in the development of an appreciative social field surrounding such an Institute. It is an interesting time.
