From the discussions yesterday, I am concerned that the BCNGroup road map is not being seen as language neutral technology. If so, you are simply misrepresenting what the Roadmap is proposing;
New Chapter for book “Computational Semiotics”
Language dependencies will be revealed and certain
adaptive and iterative properties will be demonstrated as we deploy the Global
Information Framework. But at core, there is as much language neutrality as the
natural world will allow.
From page 10 of the Roadmap version 8.5
"Our technology delivers means for deriving language independent
situation and global event analysis based on ontology representations. The software systems integrate semantic
extraction in English, Arabic and German.
Other languages are possible using the same techniques.
General principles related to the differential ontology framework are
laid out so that multiple languages are integrated into constructed elements of
a single explicit ontology. The
integrated system will demonstrate features that are not available from any
current semantic or knowledge management system. "
I am also concerned that you have not picked up the
language we have developed that delineates the principles of a "Second
School" and distinguishes this school from the types of system design that
is attempted by those following the W3C approach.
If your Semantic Architecture for global measurement and
analysis of all commercial transaction data is to be successful it must be
designed with a full knowledge of why W3C type ontology development has not
lead to startling successes.
We understand that that world has different types of
people. You are one of those whose
vision can take large groups into unknown waters and create profound successes.
But your project needs scientific and technical advice and
guidance.
I came away from the meeting feeling that you simply have
no place in your project for the work that I have done.
Is this true?
There
will be light on this.
