The BCNGroup Beadgames

National Debate Thread

Anticipatory Web thread

On the Nature of science and cultural Polemics à

On the discussion of data regularity à

On the Stephenson Cyber Attack Taxonomy  à

On the evolution of the digital Glass Bead Game

Our engaging in the issues related to standing up a true sampling of social discourse is more important that standing up a system.

why?

Well the creation of ontology from the autonomous examination of free form text is not a solved problem.  Several semantic extraction tools exist as commercial products - but in each case these tools have limitations.

Using Amnon Myers VisualText to over lay the measurement process can be done as part of the word level n-gram analysis done by NdCore or Readware.

(Readware as you know, does a stemming process and then forms frames over a moving window over the stems and so does not strictly care about nouns and verbs...  but this is a longer discussion).

So when do we have a d-GBG?

It is a "cake" if it has all of the ingredients in the right proportion.  The same is true here with the BCNGroup digital Glass Bead Game (d-GBG).  There has to be

1)       Templated measurement, i.e., frame based semantics primitives (gFt)

2)       Some aggregation of invariance into categorical abstractions (cA) such as what is done in OWL and Topic Map ontologies.

3)       Some rules that govern how bags of atoms are aggregated into compounds (eC).

There needs to be

1)       visual interfaces and

2)       user/community interfaces,

that allow humans to use the d-GBG to make a many-to-many (aggregated to a collective) social expression in real time.

Ah…… and there needs to be a data encoding mechanism that finds the minimal binary footprint for each of the behavioral atoms of Cubicon.
