The Taos Discussion

This is an edited communication to the CEO of a corporation involved in virtual markets.  This contact was initially based on a discussion and meeting.  After reading the note I wrote to NMHU Dean of Liberal Arts, the CEO, Lee, decided that he should not be involved in further discussions.  The note is posted in the educational renewal bead thread as [8], and makes reference to a theory that multi-culturalism is under threat from a far right political control over capital formation (see [#] )

Lee,

I am hoping that my experiences related to developing a virtual market for Taos might help develop new approaches to B-2-B and B-2-C services.

Understanding these opportunities must occur on several levels, as you know.

I am selling a few of the high-resolution jet-ink (Giclee) prints on canvas and paper from a location not far from Taos plaza.  And as I do this, I am meeting many of the older generation of people from Colorado, Texas, and Oklahoma who are expressing certain regrets about how history has turned out.

They long for a completion to life that does not seem now possible.  There is sadness, and some confusions; and a lot of deep awareness that life was not as fully capitalized on as life might have been.

Our nation also seems to have missed the mark, and gotten itself into a situation where less is being done correctly there we might have expected.   In fact, a recent underground poll at the Pentagon indicates that 82% of the people working there believe that the system is broken and that we, the Department of Defense, are not living up to what one might have expected.  Also see ( [.::.:] )

With this awareness there may be a willingness to participate in new ways of communicating about the age that has passed and preserving the symbols of this age within virtual art/literature museums.  We might also communicate this participation to Europe, and Asia.

It is in this context that I continue to develop a theory of two layer modeling of the social discourse; one that establishes a global measurement of people’s real concerns and interests; and one that focuses on one person’s individual story.

But there is no advertising and little by way of signs to let people know that the artist A. Kelly Pruitt is in Taos

My dad has been outside the system and this condition has created a unique potential for exploiting an interest in the age that has just passed.  This is the age of the cowboy, as well as a feeling of personal freedom and responsibility.   The authenticated extensions from his paintings can be handled by a novel system, one that includes Kiosks and display cases to be placed in retail locations.  A Kiosk can be designed with a wood casing that extends a design that is found in Taos, and which is seen to be Taos in nature.

One of the manufactures of Kiosks is at

I have the design elements in my mind, it is just a matter of time and money.

feel that a tour of the Southwest in October and November would assist in the placement of 40 – 50 of the Kiosks, and the establishment of the virtualTaos ™ brand name.   Five or six rural banks in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and perhaps Virginia would host the tour.   This is being arranged now.

We may, in fact, boot strap this virtualTaos ™ system, without investment; since investment seems harder to come by than selling the originals.  We just have to wait and come to understand better and better what might be done if we obtain the next 20K to complete the first phase of our plan.

My advanced technology, using ontological models, can be linked to understanding the feelings of many older individuals who may look to the Pruitt art extensions as a means to re-express feelings that were taken for granted just a short while ago.

I am interested in renewing a discussion with shop.com about bringing a virtual market into your system.

My technology is being re-considered at US Customs – and a contract with them would certainly help me get some things done that are not as yet doable.  My group needs to continue extend the technology and continue the work – like my new chapter in a book to be published this winter (draft)
