Dear Friends

We are using the BCNGroup communities bead game model:

www.bcngroup.org

specifically the idea that there are three circles which define the openness of the communication within our group, about our group, and within the general public.

We are standing up a conceptual representation of the thematic structure of thoughts that we as a community have.  First in these series of messages

and then soon in an application of the ORB plus III technology to a subject matter indicator analysis of this series.

In following Professor Smith's AIC model

and his recent comments to us

we conjecture that we have, as a community, created an appreciative field involving the direct contribution of around 60 people.  But the indirect contributions may be much larger and may increase in influence rapidly.

Professor Smith’s term “AIC” stands for Appreciation, Influence and Control.

How can we move to the Influence phase?  Can we Ignite the Knowledge Technology Sector and create a National Process?

We, as a group, agree that the missing human factors aspect and the impedance mismatch between IT and human needs are exactly what the knowledge technologies (KT) bring to the current world market.

So we say that IT is passing from the scene, and that KT is to soon be the new King of technologies.   Saying this seems out of character, but somehow we have to get the attention of the investment community – since without a small amount of investment capital, the huge investments we have made in our research and development time will be lost.

KT is where the money will be made, of course - why not?  We are allowed to use capitalism to create public wealth and to advance the public good.  But at the same time we realize that capitalism is not a means of governance and that some important social values are outside and above the reduction of value to purely economic measures.  These non-reducible social values are what the Nash theorems (in the movie “The Beautiful Mind”) are about.

The economic model that Brad Cox has made fully available to us addresses this issue, since the micro-transaction banking system, that we may embed in all of the KT core inventions, will allow the whole to tax each instance the software is used.  (www.virtualschool.edu)

The new model for investment is suggested with the DataRenewal.com and InOrb.com investment packages:

http://www.bcngroup.org/python3/ten.htm

The investment claim is based on the nature of the new science and the (conjectured) location we are in history.    Again this feels out of character for a scientist to develop investment templates.  But it is what is needed, and we should all stand together and closely examine the template – making a considered judgment about its correctness.  Please.

Our society may soon move in a new direction.  Some feel that the United States will move the entire world into the Knowledge Age.  The entire world political system needs us to be successful.

No question that we are way far into this transition, and no question that we have a ways to go.  We are not at the beginning.

Here at home we first must re-new the notion of citizen centric government - and push back on the now popular notion of "lines of business" as the only way to interact with the government?

So we have the purpose that ties us to a great and noble social good.
