We are trying to create a distributed community, focused on planning a National Project to establish a new academic discipline. The first step towards this National Project is to bring that part of the Open Source software community into a project with leading PhDs and innovators as we develop a
Knowledge Technology Toolkit for Kids (K-12) based on a minimal Linux distribution, Python, Perl and a number of special binary engines such as the Instant Index core engine,

the SLIP/I-RIB (Shallow Link analysis, Iterated scatter-gather and Parcelation/In-memory Referential Information Base)
and the ORBs (Ontology Referential Bases)
As currently conceived, these engines will be linked with a back office micro transactions accounting system. The students will have use accounts that actually earn them money. (This is important to understand the principle that is behind Dr. Brad Cox's notion of superDistribution. )
