Paul,

Awhile back you were looking at The Manor and asking about using it with beadgames.  Just wanted to drop you a note that we finally got Python incorporated a couple of revs back if you wanted to have a look.

Carl,

It is nice to see that the Manor has developed into something more than and better than the palace MUD (Multiple User Domain).  Virtual communities have long been a research interest for several of the BCNGroup founders.

We are interested in developing the concept of a Rural Safe Net using either an evolution of the original pre-palace software - which Dr. Kristie Bellman still has in UNIX, or based on an evolution of the Manor System which you have very creatively developed and deployed.

Nathan and a few others in our BCNGroup community are creators of Python principles.  At one point the National Project may come into being and at that time I think we can re-engineering Python as well as advance some of the Peer-to-Peer issues that make something like the Manor work is nicely as it does.

Superdistribution of information propagation and transparency on most transactions is a critical part of using a Manor like system as a Virtual Museum System

and the Rural American Safe Net for micro Farming.  Superdistribution is in principle based on a systemic instrumentation that allows light of day to see all activity within the MUD.  This principle is needed so that the MUD can be used in case of National or local crisis, economic transactions that depend on no false advertising or spam, and the requirement that the entire system not be used for activities not consistent with an educational environment supporting distance learning.

My sense has been that the evolution of the Safe Net system could start with a complete copy of your work, and then proceed in an evolution that would be mediated by leading scholars and policy makers.

Of course, the contribution of a copy of the Manor software would be remembered and honored as well as a portion of the ownership of the new system would be awarded to you.

Comments from anyone should be after you have downloaded and looked at the software, which is free for 30 days.

I noticed that one could make the Manor resolve onto a pocket PC .  Have you thought about this.  Pocket PC delivery of bead game content and interactive collaboration is ideal for many reasons.
