Virtual Museum System discussion

Ontologystream home page (Taos Discussion)

E-commerce uses both virtual and traditional “bricks and mortar” facilities to support the distribution of goods and services.  The Virtual Museum System is an early adopter of underlying e-commerce technology developed by OntologyStream Inc.  The technology balances what cannot be obtained in the virtual environment with new benefits.  The benefits include rapid delivery, convenience in not having to travel, information aggregation, and reduced costs related to the bricks and mortar store.

a)         One of the challenges we face is to increase the comfort level by making the on line shopping experience a better experience.

b)       The average consumer will be shown consistent positive experience within the Virtual Museum System

Issues that we are working on:

1)       The Foundation for Creative Extension and Acquisition is being established based on concepts that change the way in which an economic transaction may occur.

a)         The production process involved in the creative arts is not a sterile assemble process.  Art can be over commercialized, and this will lead to increasing criticism from some influential people.

b)        In many creations, the artist’s work is designed to cause a creative perception when viewed by the audience.  Minimalism and impressionistic schools celibate this creative extension.  An analogy/contrast is created – between creativity and ownership.

c)         A painting, when appreciated, becomes at least partially owned.  Ownership, in our opinion, is often shared in ways that cannot be accounted for in banking accounts.  Pride of citizenship, for example.

2)       Copyright and trademark law must be understood and used as part of the development of the Foundation’s branding language.  This language describes what might be expected from the Foundation and those companies and corporations that do business with the Foundation.  For example, illegal copies of images should be discouraged, but when someone is creating these images we should look carefully into the circumstances.  We should make decisions about what is appropriate for the Foundation to do.

3)       The relationships between the Internet technology company, Ontologystream Inc, and the Foundation has to be made clear.  The Virtual Museum System Inc has patented and protected technology that is owned by OntologyStream Inc.  Three Rivers Trading Company is the sole proprietary company, to be registered in Texas.  The Foundation is to be not for profit and will be registered in New Mexico.

4)       Legal work and management of governance structures has to be addressed in a staged process, so that early under-funded activities do not put potential activities at risk.

5)       We plan to find and acquire those oil paintings that are under valued by the current owners.

These challenges place us into a context.
