Paul, you are refusing to shed misconceptions.  I know you cannot have read the materials you are critiquing, because you are way too smart to misunderstand them this much.  For example, you said:

 

The problem of interoperability comes, one might argue, from the absence of universality and from the absence of flexibility within structure that is given to RDF type construction, including the Cyc Corp ontology.  (One can make the observation that Cyc Corp has many of the same set of problems that does OWL.)

 

which is an egregious example of a category error - CYC is as far different from RDF and OWL as I can imagine.

 

One is a content ontology, the other has no content at all.  They are the diametric opposites in the universality space, and yet you use them in the same breath.  I don't even know where to start on this - but I cannot talk to someone who doesn't listen - I don't see where it will profit me to try.

 

If you'd like me to engage, read some of the papers that I pointed to and then create coherent arguments about the deficiencies.  If you want more technical papers, I can point you to them as well...
