BCNGroup colleagues,
The Adi ontology is the basis of an alternative complex system's theory. The Adi ontology has three layers that are related in specific ways and there are parallels to some notions of stratified theory. But the Adi ontology makes different ontological commitments and therefore different epistemological commitments.
For example, the descending precedence in process interaction from assignment to manifestation to containment in the substructural layer is inherited by the systems layer and expanded into an elaborate systems control precedence law.
I don't know yet whether emergence is the right term. I might decide to call it something else.
The roots of the Adi ontology are not Arabic and Islamic culture, but the nature of language, specifically, the nature of Arabic, a natural phenomenon that has been affected by people, like a worn out horse if you like. I studied the horse, not its training and abuse.
The Adi ontology should not to be pigeon-holed as something culturally biased (some people did that, I am glad Paul is not one of them).
Adi derived his ontology by induction from all the thousands of notions observed in the contextual usage of vowels, consonants and word stems in a complete Arabic book. These observations were recorded and are easily reproducible to be examined by others.
