Paul,
We as a community can talk about the future of work on (the correct
word is missing).
Language, formal systems, human knowledge sharing.
We are formulating a new proposition, at least new in the sense of
spear-heading a renewal on purposeful work.
Research for research has become all too common, and we all suffer from
too much of this.
But the other side of this problem is that single-minded short-term
exploitation that is thought to be the only proper thing to do by a generation
of CEOs.
How should the new proposition be presented if the opportunity comes
up.
PK
Peter,
Given the experiences of the last five decades of computer science (and commercial activity empowered by computer science), could not the science community pause, stand back, and look at first principles. Is this needed, and if it is needed how do we cause this to happen?
So a call for a first conference on this agenda is exactly where we are.
Who should attend? What is each person’s advice?
Who should fund this? Well, IF the scholars ask together for the funding, then this funding will be found.
