The Second School of Semantic Science
The following note is being send to some academics or industry founders whose online work suggests the possibility that they are tuned to the Second School of Semantic Science. We use Google to discover possible new members to the BCNGroup.
Please review the distinction between the two schools of semantic
science at:
and let us know if you are interested in some joint activity.

Some of the replies are given below (with names abstracted so as to not reveal identity)
Paul,
This
is a strange request but ok, I've reviewed the two schools. My immediate response is that most of the
work I do follows option b) but in the longer term I'm interested in how one moves
from b) to a) i.e. formalizing informal community knowledge so that one can
infer from it.
As
for joint activity, what do you have in mind?
M.
Our first reply is
The
alternative is to expect and work towards an improvement in active ontology visualization
so that the human becomes more empowered
The
notions are more fully developed at:
Not
everyone is going to support the notion that mainstream AI may make a false
claim, or that human-centered ontology management is the right way to go.
The
BCNGroup is developing an alternative, and we are using Google to identify some
who have published in a way that might be consistent with HIP

From what I have seen of your work, we could use your talents.
